I want to say or do something to make the entire planet sigh deeply. I want to cause each person to stop moving, to look up with an intent and sincere gaze, to ferociously roar with applause and delicious excitement. I want to be so flooded with perfect passion that it forces others to be hypnotized in a wild upheaval. I want a standing ovation. I want people to fall to knees, awed and layered with goose bumps. I want to bring the very trees down with my shocking exuberance.

But instead, I will sink through life, accepting wrinkles and crumbling with defeat. I will disregard dreams, I will shake my head at ambitions. I will become like every other average monster- too afraid of risk to celebrate a triumphant blaze of delirious glory.

I will embrace mundanity, destroy any piece of destiny that might have been-too terrified of chance to move one filthy foot forward.
